Closing Process
, A. Discuss three requirements for the data migration project closure.
Once the data migration is complete, there are several activities that can take place
for the administrative closure of the project. A few of the actions that are necessary
for closure include:
1. Ensuring all documentation is up to date including any training or lifecycle
materials
2. All deliverables must be accepted by Merrilton
3. All equipment and resources must be decommissioned/reallocated for the old
data center infrastructure. In order to achieve successful closure, “the project
manager needs to engage all the proper stakeholders in the process (Project,
2017).
After the above mentioned requirements have been met, the closeout report can be
signed and agreed upon by both the MSP and Merrilton that the project has been
completed and within the contracted budget and timeline.
B. Create a project closure checklist by listing activities that you, as a project manager,
should verify prior to closing the data migration project.
