the unification of Italy and Germany.
The Modern World: *1900-Present*
-This period includes the struggle for equal rights for women, World War I, the Russian
Revolution, the Great Depression, the ride of fascism, revolution in China, World War II, Israel
versus Palestine, the Cold War, the space race, the Korean and Vietnam wars, and globalization.
-The early 1900s also saw some revolutions, the seeds for which were sown in the previous
period.
