Temporary License - LPC-MHSP - What is required and how long is it good? - answer-
1. Completed coursework
2. Pass NCE
* Temporary license only good for 3 years
How far in advance must the licensure application be submitted to the board? - answer-
30 days prior to the next board meeting
How many days do you have to get your supporting documents to the board? - answer-
Supporting documents must be received in the board's office within 60 days of receipt of
your application, or your file will be closed.

3. Cert/lic rules and law from other state at the time that applicant was credentialed
LPC with MHSP - what is required in the application, different from standard
application? - answer- 1. 9 course hours pertaining to diagnosis, treatment, appraisal,
and assessment
2. NCMHCE scores - sent directly from the NBCC
Temporary License for LPC-MHSP - What is required for application? - answer- 1.

* Only valid for 3 years. May not be renewed.
How would a temporary license become invalid? - answer- 1. Expiration of 3 years w/o
regular license
2. Failure to continue supervision
3. Change of supervisors without notifying board, submitting credentials, and getting
approval.
If a temporary license is revoked, how long does the applicant have to return it? -
answer- 10 days. Applicant is expected to cause his supervisor to notify the board of
any reason he is aware that the license should become invalid.
How much are the Application, Renewal, State Regulatory, Temporary License, and
MHSP upgrade fees? - answer- 1. Application - $200
2. Renewal - $115 (every 2 years)
3. State regulatory - $10 (every 2 years)

5. MHSP Upgrade - $75
If an application is deemed incomplete, how long does the applicant have to complete
the requirements for licensure? - answer- 6 months, and then the file will be closed
(abandonment of application). A new application would need to be submitted.
