1.1. The social factor that contributed to Muriel becoming
an entrepreneur.
 Family social factor.
• A person with a supportive family is likely to become an
entrepreneur.
Example from the case study.
Muriel’s parents have started their own busines and kids
(including Muriel) were recruited at a very young age to assist
in the business.
 Role model social factor.
• An individual with role models who have been successful
entrepreneurs will certainly be motivated to start a
business, or being associated with entrepreneurs may
add the desire to start a business.
Example from the case study.
As she associated with her parents who became
entrepreneurs, she started in telesales and as a data capture
and believed that one day she would be a business owner as
well.

1.2. The type of motivational Muriel possesses.
 Personal satisfaction
• An entrepreneur is energised by the process of
developing products and services.

- Muriel believe that if you want your business to grow you
must give your clients respect and levels of service that
you would expect for yourself. She says “I have learned
about what you do and deliver excellence service,
everything else tends to fall into place.”

 Financial rewards
