#1 Responsibility - ANS-You are #1 at the scene of collision and to keep collision from
getting worse
3 components of the collision - ANS-Driver, vehicle and roadway
Accident - ANS-Sequence of events that produce unintended injury, death or property
damage
Accident investigation - ANS-Examination of all elements contributing to accident,
resulting in explanation of series of events based on factual data
Action point - ANS-Place and time action is put into effect ex:(braking, steering)
All locations on the TR-310 are located to what is known as - ANS-Standard direction
Base intersection - ANS-Always the closest public roadway that intersects the roadway
that collision occurred on
Coilllision - ANS-Event results in injury, death, property damage directly or indirectly
from motion of a motor vehicle
Collision causes are - ANS-Drivers and mechanical
Controlled and uncontrolled final positions defined - ANS-Controlled-position reaches
intentionally-ex:vehicle pushed off road to clear traffic, Uncontrolled-position is more
valuable to investigation
Conversions of directions will be as follows - ANS-North=East,South=West, East=North,
West=South
Drivers collision causes are - ANS-Due to failure to adjust to existing conditions
Duties of a driver involved in a collision - ANS-Stop at or as close to scene as possible,
may leave temporary to contact police, stop to not obstruct traffic more than necessary,
make every effort to restore traffic
Duties of investigator on collisions - ANS-Find out who,what,where,why,and when
