, 1.0 Introduction
Changes are something that people has to face in their normal course of life which include
their social, economic and all other areas of life. These organisational changes, which are a
continuous and dynamic process, also take place in the business organisations as well due to
different internal and external factors which influence the operation and performance of the
organisation (Smits and Bowden, 2015). with regard to these changes, the business
organisations need to make decisions or strategies so that changes can be managed
effectively. Apple Inc. is a multinational technology company which provides its customers
with electronic devices such as computers, mobile phone, software and online services. Apple
Inc. is considered as one of the four largest tech companies along with Google, Amazon and
Facebook (Thao and Tsanthaiwo, 2017). In this particular paper, the ‘White Water Metaphor’
of Apple Inc. will be discussed along with the factors affecting the shifting from calm water
to white water of Apple Inc. along with this, there will be discussion regarding the
implications of shifting to white water on HR of the company and recommendations to HR
managers of Apple Inc. to undertake appropriate strategic approach for handling the shift.
