Module 6 - Basic Rigging Exam Questions And Answers Block and Tackle - ANS A simple rope-and-pulley system used to lift loads. Load - ANS The total amount of what is being lifted, including all slings, hitches, and hardware. Load Control - ANS The safe and efficient practice of load manipulation, using proper communication and handling techniques. Load Stress - ANS The strain or tension applied on the rigging by the weight of the suspended load. Master Link - ANS The Main connection fitting for the chain slings. rope lay - ANS The lengthwise distance it takes for one strand of a wire rope to make one complete turn around the core.
