baby doesn't make
cord prolapse - ANScord before baby, no O2 to baby
change moms position-- trendelenberg or knee to chest
closing of fetal skull (after born) - ANSanterior- 12-18 months
posterior- 8-12 weeks
molding - ANSoverlapping of cranial bones that allows the fetus skull through pelvis
Fetal heart rate, bradycardia, tachycardia - ANSbradycarda: less than 100, DANGER sign
tachycardia: greater than 160
acceleration - ANSincrease in FHR, sign of fetal wellbeing, expect this
occurs with contractions and fetal movement and vaginal exams
decelerations - ANSdecrease in FHR
early decelerations - ANSmirrors the contraction, response to fetal head compression, no
treatment required b/c this is normal
late decelerations - ANScaused by utero-placenta insufficiency
