Setting up a standalone computer system.
Before setting up the standalone computer system I took various health and safety
precautions, for example one of the precautions I took is that there is no power being
supplied so that I do not get any electrical shocks or accidentally connect myself to the
power supply or mains.
After making sure there is no power being supplied I connected all the necessary
equipment’s and peripherals.

These images shows that both the monitor and desktop have nothing connected to it.
After:
These images shows that I have connected the VGA cable to the monitor, this is shown on
the left image where a blue VGA connector is connected to a VGA port on the monitor. The
centre image shows that the VGA cable is connected to the desktop via a VGA-to-DVI
adapter as there was no VGA port. The image on the right shows that I have connected to
USB cables to two USB ports that have connected the wired mouse and keyboard. The
following images show the adapter I have used.
These two images shows that I have finally attached both PSU plugs into the monitor and
desktop.
