● Caliban - He is described as a “strange creature” who has lived on the island
long before Miranda and Prospero. He was treated well until he attacked
Miranda and then was enslaved by Prospero.
● Ariel - She is a spirit who is Prospero’s servant and carries out tasks for him.
● Antonio - he is Prospero’s brother and the King of Naples. He betrayed his
brother.
Plot:
1. Prospero causes a storm to shipwreck his enemies.
2. Prospero tells Miranda about their past.
3. The shipwrecked passengers are scattered across the island.

5. Alonso fears his sons has died in the shipwreck.
