The problem of Evil
, What it is
The problem of evil stems from the inconsistent triad. The factors of which being:
● God is all loving
● God is all powerful
● Yet evil exists
The combination of the 3 present a dilemma: if God is all powerful and evil exists,
he can’t be all loving and if God is all loving and evil exists he can’t be all powerful
otherwise he would stop the evil.
This problem of evil only exists within the traditional abrahamic theism religions and
not deism as those religions portray God as differently, e.g. if there are multiple
Gods and they aren’t all powerful then evil existing makes sense
