Dear Student,
This Tutorial letter 102 will contain details of your assessments for EED2601 module.
1. Assessment criteria
Before you complete an assessment, you will need to do the necessary reading and
make short notes.
Your assessments must be well planned, neatly arranged and, if possible, typed (in
the case of essay- and paragraph-type answers).
When assessing your assessments, the following are taken into account:
• your ability to critically read the sections of the study guide indicated for each
question and to come to relevant conclusions
• your understanding of the question
• whether your answers are relevant to the questions asked
• your ability to meaningfully transfer the content to your own instructional
situation
• your ability to give relevant examples which are applicable to your instructional
situation
2. Assessment plan
• To complete and pass this module, you will be required to submit a total number of
FOUR (4) assessments. Assessment 01 is compulsory and assessment 02, 03, 04
and 05 are elective; answer any three elective assessments.
• This is a continuous assessment module. Continuous assessment means that you
are not going to write any examination, but that all the assignments that you
completed throughout the year will contribute towards your final mark. Continuous
assessment refers to the ongoing periodic and systematic assessment and
evaluation of students during the process of learning using a variety of
assessment methods throughout the tuition period.
• All information on when and where to submit your assessments will be made
available to you via the myUnisa on the EED2601-23-Y myModules site.
