After a year of online school from COVID, the students started having bad work and study habits. Most of the time when it came to unit tests, many of my students kept telling me that they did not know how to study. There are advantages and disadvantages to using qualitative
data to solve the study problem. One of the advantages that qualitative data bring to the solution is in detail. This style of data collecting will give me the deepest detail of the problems that my students are facing. The answers will always be unique in some way from other students’ answers. However, this is where the disadvantages come into play. Since it is so detailed, finding
the problem with their study habits will take a long duration of time. The test score did support what they were addressing. After seeing them struggle, the best thing to locate the problem is by collecting qualitative data based on their study habits. First, I need to identify if the problem started in the classroom. This is where doing data based on observation will be effective. This is where I can have observed how was their behavior during class time. After observing a class sample size and identifying the students that are having problems, I can pull them and do an interview. The interview will be open-ended for the students
