My assigned microorganism is bacillus subtilis, a gram positive bacteria. I used my dichotomus key that was provided to come to my conclusion by observing the images of my unknown microorganism, then I looked at the table provided to determine what my unknown microorganism based off what I observed. I ran the following tests: gram stain which showed a positive, a FTM tube which showed an obligate aerobe, and lastly a starch test which concluded a positive.
