- ADHD attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
• 3 kernsymptomen: hyperactiviteit, aandachtstekort, impulsief gedrag
• ADHD overwegend onoplettend
• ADHD overwegend hyperactief-impulsief
• ADHD gecombineerd type
- Een multidisciplinaire evaluatie is nodig om echte probleemkinderen te
selecteren (minimum 6 maand, van voor de leeftijd van 7 jaar, in meer
dan één setting, functioneren moet beduidend verstoord zijn &
onverklaarbaar) geen therapie starten vooraleer correcte diagnose
- Omwille van stringente selectiecriteria in studies moet men voorzichtig
zijn met extrapolatie naar kinderen met minder uitgesproken beelden
- Hoe lang de behandeling moet aanhouden en of het nuttig is af en toe de
medicatie te stoppen is nog niet voldoende onderbouwd
