wide variety of emotions.
• They usually originate from fascia or bones of the skull and insert into the
skin. So, when they contract, move the skin rather than any joint and creates
a facial expression.
• Significant examples of muscles in this group are those surrounding the
openings of the head such as the eyes, nose, and mouth.
