What is a blog?
A blog is an informal written website that is run by an individual or a
group of people who share their opinions on particular subjects. A
blog is updated regularly. Blogs allow writers to connect to a relevant
audience and reach the people most likely to support or help
promote the campaign.



Advantages of using blogs for your campaign
Advantage 1
P - Blogs usually don’t charge anyone to view it therefore everyone has
access to the blog as long as they have internet access. As well as this
they are free or cheap to set up.
E - This means that it is an a ordable way to get yourself in the media
to express your opinions and views to your viewers.
E - This means that campaigns can invest money into other methods
of promoting or into achieving their goal to make their campaign
more successful.

Advantage 2
P - Another advantage of using blogs is they can easily be shared
across di erent social media apps.
E - For example you could put the link of your blog in your instagram
bio so it is easily accessible to everyone and easy to find.
E - This would ensure that everyone can read your blog which means
there is a wider audience. This increases the likelihood of donations
and support for a campaign.

Advantage 3
P - In addition if a campaign uses a blog it gives the writers the
ability to learn more about their followers.
E - This means they can discover what the audience are most
interested in and what articles are the most popular.
E - Therefore meaning that the bloggers know the e ective ways of
reaching their target audience in order to promote their campaign.
This increases the likelihood of donations and support for the
campaign.
