active participation in team activity.
Me and my 4 team members worked together to think of a good business idea for a
product we could create and sell. We shared ideas and collaborated with each other
in order to think of the best idea. In the end we came up with the idea of a portable
fan. So basically, a fan but you plug it into the charging port of your phone, and it
works. We all agreed that this was the best idea for our business and then
proceeded to delegate tasks between ourselves in order to create and market/sell
our fan.
Although I was not the team leader, I believe I was an effective team member
because I completed all my tasks for the project on time. Also, I stepped up when the
team leader was absent to help my team members with their parts too. I
demonstrated my effectiveness of being a team member in many ways. For
example, I contributed to many tasks like when we were researching ideas for our
product launch. I researched using many websites etc so I could find a gap in the
market that we could fill with our product and shared my findings with the team. We
looked at all our potential ideas we had and then effectively communicated with each
other to decide upon the best one. Another way I was an effective team member is
how I communicated with my team members through text messages to keep those
who weren’t at this meeting and missed the progress we were making and keeping
them up to date.
I also created a group chat between myself and my team so that we can effectively
communicate with each other. This showed that I was a responsible team member.
After we agreed on the product idea, I worked closely with a member of my team to
figure out specific areas we needed to research and speak about for the launch of
our product. Some of these areas included;

Promotional methods
Marketing strategy
USP of the product
Competition
Description of the product and how it works
Financial plan
Price of the product
