Learning Aim B:
There are many physical factors that could influence Andy and Keira's development. An
example would be genetics. The role of genetics is to pass on information that is needed to
build the proteins which develop generation by generation. Genetics can be found in egg
cells which have been fertilised, which are located in the cell of embryo's genetics which
hold all the information that is essential for the cell development so it grows from a cell into a
foetus,to a child to an adult.
Without genetics, it would be impossible for reproduction to take place. Genetics also help
outline any potential life threatening illnesses/ disease(s). This can be done through the use
of prenatal testing or if symptoms start to show testing should be done after birth. And
although genetics may not necessarily determine our behaviour, they play a critical role
when understanding what influences why humans vertebrae and act in certain ways.
Exercise is another physical factor that can affect development. It helps keep the body and
brains natural functions working, as our brain is consistently developing and maintaining a
support plan and balance for the necessary mental processes and roles. These are
promoted when exercising. Exercise also helps us improve our gross motor skills such as
the use of our legs and other body muscles as well as fine motor skills such as coordination.
As well as exercise being known to improve our well being, body composition and deferring
developing our cardiovascular fitness, a majority of individuals are not fully aware ( if aware
at all) the percentage of how much exercise can impact and influence or behaviour. Due to
exercise improving the activity of our brain, it is also important proving it problem solving/
thinking skills. Mostly it improves our attention levels as well as our ability to learn new
things.
A third physical factor is diet. The for and nutrients we intake as part of our diet, send
important instructions to various parts of the body. Over eating however, can cause
immoderate weight gain which could eventually cause obesity ads as well as an increase in
osteoarthritis, type 2 diabetes and hypertension. The factor of over eating also causes eating
disorders. Eating disorders are oftentimes seen as coping mechanisms. It can lead
individuals to have hair loss, more vulnerability to be more susceptible to any Illnesses and
much more. Undressing can also be the lead of economical issues as it could lead to
malnourishment. Diet is known to affect physical growth because as the growth rate slows
down, the more an individual's body weight is likely to fluctuate. This can conclude children
to have been unhealthy and their height being abnormal compared to the average child.
The final physical factor is illness. An individual who has good physical and mental health is
seen to be more happy and get less physical health implications. An individual who is also
free from any illness will be contributing to the progress of healthy individuals which have a
higher life expectancy than those who have poor physical and/or mental health.
