, Question 1

1.1. Hydraulic system and pneumatic system. Hydraulic brake and clutch
systems are common in motorcars. The mechanical properties of gases
are studied in pneumatics, a branch of mechanics.
1.2. Hydraulic systems can move heavier weights and exert more force than
pneumatic systems, but pneumatic technology is more environmentally
friendly. With pneumatics, which can leak oil or hydraulic fluid, leaks are
less of an issue. Pneumatic systems are low-maintenance and have high
life expectancy.
1.3. Hydraulic system. Hydraulic systems deal with vehicle braking systems.
1.4. The brake pedal is located inside the car below the steering wheel and
connected to a booster by means of a push rod which is normally fixed
by bolts to the firewall in the engine compartment. The master cylinder
which has a fixed reservoir to hold the brake fluid is fixed onto the
booster. Brake pipes are channelled from the master cylinder to the
front and back wheels. In the case of the back wheels the brake shoes
are mounted onto the anchor plates by means of springs and retaining
clips on one end ensuring that the other end is mounted properly onto
the slave cylinder. The front brakes, the disc pads are mounted into the
calliper which in turn is mounted onto the disc. Bleeding of the braking
system, reason for this is to expel any air that is in the system, there are
a few ways that bleeding can be done, however, lets concentrate on the
most common way, 2 individuals are required in this process pour brake
fluid into the reservoir that is mounted on the master cylinder, 1
individual is required to "pump the pedal vigorously many times over to
build up pressure and depress the pedal whilst the other individual will
be at the wheels to loosen the nipple for the air to be dispelled, starting
with the wheel that is furthest away from the master cylinder. This
process is repeated a few times until all air is dispelled and the brake
does not run down to the floor.
1.5. This connection is disrupted by air in the system. As the air inside the
system is compressed, the input forces caused by moving the brake lever
can no longer be communicated properly. Bleeding the brakes is a good
approach to remove the air out of the lines if your vehicle's brakes are
spongy. You'll need a brake bleeder wrench or a combination wrench
that fits the bleeder nozzle on your vehicle, as well as a can of correct
brake fluid, a clean glass jar, and a companion to complete the task.
1.6. Workers need to place tools back in the proper location before leaving
the shop. They need to promptly clean up liquid spills. They need to
