, P3: Complete the documentation for the initiation phase for an identified project

Background to Project:
I will be creating an e-commerce website that allows a local artist to promote their paintings and other
artwork online. This will allow them to sell their art to a wider audience as anyone from around the
world will be able to access it at any time (24/7).

Stakeholders
The stakeholder of this project is the artist, as they are the one that will be directly affected by the
success or failure of the project. However, ‘on time projects’ also have stakeholders as they are
dependent on the project to bring in income for the company. Stakeholders are internal as they are part
of the business.

Clients
The clients of the project are the local community who visit the artists’ store and buy their products.
Clients are external stakeholders as they are not part of the business itself but are affected by its
performance.

Target audience
There will be no specific gender targeted as any gender can have an interest in art. However, the
website will aim to target a wider reach of locations, as it used to be local but having the store online
will make it international. The age range the website will target would be around 30-55 as this age range
may be more likely to buy the art products. In terms of social-economic group’s people with well-paid
jobs or higher are more likely to buy the products, this is because people with a lower income may be
less likely to buy art as opposed to something more useful to them. The target audience will be external
as they are not part of the making or owning of the website but will be effected by it.
