limited medication administration

patient assessment and a patient assessment?
Answer Paramedic= diagnosis, EMT=assess/observe
9.What are the safety steps for an EMT?
Answer 1. You are not able to help the patient if you are also injured.
2.Wear proper PPE, including eye protection, masks (HEPA, N95),
disposable gloves, gowns.
3.Wash hands 10-15 seconds, remove all jewelry.
4.If uniform is contaminated, remove, bag and label the item, wash in
warm water for 25 minutes. Also, take a hot shower.
5.Dispose all contaminated gloves, and other materials in the
hazardous materials bag.
