The origins of the universe
● God created the world in genesis 1 “he created the heavens and the earths”

The value of the world
● Dominion “rule over the fish in the sea”, god created “mankind in his image”
● Stewardship “god saw that it was good”, he loves the world and we should take care
of it, “the earth is the lords and everything in it”
● Awe: “his eternal power and divine nature..have been clearly seen”
● Wonder: admiration for gods creation, awe: mixed with fear of his power
● During judgment day all our actions will be taken into consideration
● Earth is temporary, heaven is forever + final goal
● Buddhists agree as ahimsa is their main value, doing no harm + interdependence
● Dalai lama: “destruction of nature..comes from ignorance”
