How did the simulated experience of Charlie Snow’s case make you feel?
This case made me feel very anxious. Charlie kept saying he couldn’t breathe, so I felt like I
wasn’t working quick enough.
Discuss the actions you felt went well in this scenario.
I felt like administering the medications went well. I knew the purpose of each of them and they
worked accordingly.

Make sure the airway stayed intact and he was getting the approptiate amount of
oxygen Make sure he felt comfortable, as well as his guardian

treated in a timely manner?
He could loose conciousnes, have a lung collapse, or go in to shock.
EBP Why was a glucocorticosteroid administered in this case? Would it have been
appropriate to administer albuterol in this case? Why or why not?
A glucocorticosterid was administered in thiscase because Charlie was
experiencing a mild allergic reaction.
Albuterol was not appropriate because he was not experiencing a
anaphylactic allergic reaction which would include symptomsof wheezing and
bronchoconstriction.
