gametophytes differentiate into gametes. When a grain of pollen reaches the
entrance of an ovary, it releases the sperm that fertilizes the egg and creates a
zygote or egg. The zygote/egg develops by mitosis into an embyro within an
ovule/seed which is inside of an ovary that starts the process all over again.
