Software Security

The Internet has created a platform where users can accomplish most tasks at the comfort

of their homes or where they deem efficient. However, the flip side to the whole user-friendly

interface created on the web is that both users and companies, in this case financial, are

vulnerable to cyber threats from hackers. Both parties, customers and organizations, are at risk of

being attacked. The Inclination is on how the attacks happen and a means for better solutions to

help safeguard company data and customer information.

The web is a vast place where either individuals or organizations own multiple websites.

With that said, banks are in the loop, and they too have their official websites that can be

accessed with ease. However, cyber-attacks are a thing of the norm, which happens due to hacks

from unidentified hackers. One of the commonly used methods of a security breach is

inappropriate web cloning. This happens when a website is copied, and the new website has

similar features as the previous (Security Tech). The users might go ahead and fill out their

logins, not knowing that they are using the wrong website, which later leads to their information

being stolen. This kind of spoofing technique creates a world where discreetness is unknown.

Banks can educate their customers through handouts containing direct links to their official

websites.
