,Anne S. Klee, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in Connecticut. She works at VA Connecticut
Healthcare System and is an assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Psychiatry,
Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Klee contributes to psychology at the national level as the president
of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Division 18 (Psychologists in Public Service),
and by serving on the APA Committee for Assessment and Training in Recovery. She is the
2002 recipient of the American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contributions
by a Graduate Student, the 2007 APA Division of Psychologists in Public Service Early Career
Achievement Award, and the 2012 APA Division of Psychologists in Public Service Michael S.
Neale Award. She is also an Albert Schweitzer Fellow for Life and a Fellow of the Connecticut
Health Foundation.

Bret A. Moore, PsyD, ABPP, is a licensed clinical psychologist in San Antonio, Texas. He is
licensed as a prescribing psychologist by the New Mexico Board of Psychologist Examiners and
is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He
is the 2007 recipient of the Arthur W. Melton Award from Division 19, which recognizes early-
career achievements in military psychology, and the 2011 Early Career Achievement Award from
Division 18, which recognizes achievements in public service psychology. He is the author and
editor of 10 books, including Pharmacotherapy for Psychologists: Prescribing and Collaborative
Roles, Handbook of Clinical Psychopharmacology for Psychologists, The Veterans and Active
Duty Military Psychotherapy Treatment Planner, Living and Surviving in Harm’s Way, Wheels
Down: Adjusting to Life After Deployment, Handbook of Counseling Military Couples, and The
Veterans and Active Duty Military Homework Planner. He also writes a biweekly newspaper
column titled “Kevlar for the Mind,” which is published by Military Times. His views and
opinions on clinical and military psychology have been quoted in the USA Today, New York
Times, Boston Globe, National Public Radio, the British Broadcasting Corporation, and the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
