All testing performed is based on the NIST SP 800-115 Technical Guide to Information Security Testing and Assessment, OWASP Testing Guide (v4), and customized testing frameworks. Phases of penetration testing activities include the following: Reconnaissance Passive and active information gathering to identify exposed assets, technologies, and potential entry points. Enumeration Mapping the application structure, discovering endpoints, parameters, user roles, and understanding how data flows through the application. Vulnerability Discovery Testing for known vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, command injection, insecure direct object references (IDOR), and authentication flaws. Exploitation Actively exploiting identified vulnerabilities to determine their impact, including unauthorized access, data leakage, and code execution. Post-Exploitation (if in scope) Assessing the depth of access obtained, attempting privilege escalation, data extraction, or lateral movement where permitted.
