This proposal presents a plan for the facility at River Bend High School. Staff will
participate in a mandatory Artificial Intelligence training as part of a professional
development on May 27th 2026 from 8:00 am- 9:00 am in the high school computer lab.
The main focus of the session is how to incorporate certain instructional strategies with
Artificial Intelligence appropriately while still following district policies. The goal is to
help staff members feel confident using AI tools in their classroom responsibly and
ethically.
B. Instructional Design Process:
I will be using the ADDIE instructional design process to plan and structure this training. The
ADDIE approach ensures that the strategies being presented support the effective use of AI
in schools, while also aligning with district guidelines for ethical and responsible use of AI
tools in a school environment. The main focus of the PD will be practical strategies that
teachers can incorporate into their instruction. The training will be guided by the ADDIE
model, which includes five key steps: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate.
Using this structured approach will help keep the training organized, focused, and purposeful
for its entirety.
- Analyze: The need for this training is important as technology continues to grow
and the use of AI becomes more common in the field of education. Educators
