1. Introduction

Decolonised research is an innovative research paradigm that challenges the
dominance of Western-centric epistemologies, which have historically
marginalized indigenous knowledge systems. This approach emphasizes the
importance of local knowledge, culture, and lived experience in the co-production
of meaningful and socially relevant research outcomes. In post-colonial contexts
