Chief Complaint (CC)
“My hand has been hurting since yesterday.”
History of Present Illness (HPI)
The patient is a 16-year-old adolescent who presents with right hand
pain that began 24 hours ago after punching a wall during an
argument. The pain is described as sharp and throbbing, rated 7/10,
localized to the ulnar side of the hand, and worsened by movement or
gripping objects. The patient reports swelling and difficulty making a
fist. No numbness or tingling is reported. No prior hand injuries.
