● Participated in liquidating the Międzyrzec Podlaski Ghetto, August 16th-25th 1942
● Vera described the events as “peaceful, nearly idyllic resettlement to an eastern
workcamp”
○ Some say she had a whip with her to intimidate the Jews

● As Jews marched on the train to Sobibor, wives of the SS policemen enjoyed coffee and
cake
