Answer Stud welding is not covered under CSA W48. It shall conform to the requirements of clause 3.1.2.2

shall be covered under the acceptance criteria of what other standard ?

6. 3.1.3 Prequalified joints
What processes are deemed pre qualified as long as they conform to what
clause ? And therefore are approved for use with out joint welding qualification
providing that welding procedures also conform to clause 4,5,10
Answer SMAW, SAW, FCAW, MCAW (spray transfer) and GMAW (spray transfer) as long as they conform to
clause 10 shall be deemed as prequalified
