The book states that they are three different schools of thought. Classical, positive, and conflict school (Kindchi p.66). Classical deals more with the legal issue of domestic violence. Positive deals with why they commit domestic violence. And Conflict investigates more into gender roles.

Domestic Violence. Has a crude history, a rocky present, and hopefully a promising future. No doubt domestic violence dates back to pre-recorded history. Back when cavemen were discovering fire there, with the birth of arguments brought along domestic arguments that escalated into abuse in the forms we recognize today.

-Nationally; the younger the child is the more at risk they are. And the number of fitalities of children are absurd.-Why is it younger who are more at risk? Does income have alink?

Through research and study we have dissected and have been able to analyze and identify characteristics of Abusers. Meaning we have a much more clear understanding how they work, what makes them click and what patterns we have discovered to better point out the problems in order to find the root before we begin attempts into resolving it. Similarly we also have drawn conclusion backed up by research suggesting strong links between the roles of Alcohol and substance abuse to domestic violence.

we will investigate a elder abuse case and conduct the same; the forms of abuse that occurred, identify the characteristics of the abused as well as the effect on the abused elder. But first, let us identify the major forms of abuse in both child abuse and elder abuse

The disparities between domestic violence in America versus that of the rest of the world are vast in many ways--this is obvious when comparing between America and developing countries, as well as when America is compared to developed countries. Some major areas of focus for this paper include 1) intimate partner violence (IPV) against women 2) IPV against men 3) marital violence 4) child abuse.
