These notes are out of the textbook "Sociology: a brief introduction" 12 ed. by Richard T. Schaefer. Chapters one through three cover an understanding of sociology (some history, important historical figures, and theoretical perspectives), sociological research (designs, ethics, feminist methodology, and queer theory), and culture (language, norms, values, and variation).
