This is an example of my written assessment which critically explores the creative, embodied and/or aesthetic dimensions to Arts education from a philosophical viewpoint. In this piece I was expected to choose one or a group of Arts education philosophers and consider what, how and why their theoretical understandings of Arts education have meaning for themselves as becoming Arts educators.

For this individual reflection, I was required to critically articulate my understanding of the purpose of providing timely and appropriate feedback to students about their learning, and evaluate the performance of my peers according to relevant Arts education assessment policy, and in response to the appropriateness of the assessment strategies for the identified year level.

For this example of completed task, I included an appropriate and thoughtful selection of a range of mathematics teaching strategies to primary school students.

1. In this task I used current research literature to critically examine a major conceptual element of the teaching and learning of common fractions relating to the older primary years (4-6). For this example of task, I had to write a report (2000 words) - critically evaluating the importance of teaching and learning mathematics for the development of numerate individuals and for society as whole. I then outlined our role as teachers in knowing and understanding numeracy teaching strategies for the development of numerate citizens.

In this example of completed task, I developed a 4-lesson plan for engaging a class in an effective mathematics learning and teaching sequence using knowledge of effective student learning, content and effective teaching strategies for the early primary years (P-3). This is an example of my completed arts curriculum project. There are 2 parts. Part A is a group task which asked me to develop and design an arts unit of work with my peers, and Part B is comprises an individual critical reflection.

This example of completed task contains 2 major parts: 1. To begin with, I received an authentic Technologies assessment task brief (including criteria and standards) and an assessment sample, which have been sourced from a local classroom. I was expected to assess the sample, keeping notes or annotating the sample as I came to my judgement.
