The Theoretical Essay should select theoretical concepts from Reading Autobiography and/or Just and Unjust Wars. Any supplemental material used in the classroom (i.e. trench warfare, women confront the war, etc)., can be used as well. The essay needs to examine two memoirs that were read in class, but it must be on two different wars. For example, LaMotte and Maus could be examined or Junger and Caputo.
