Teacher - Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend. For today’s class, we
will be reading a very interesting text, “What made me the way I am?” and then we will do a group
activity to grasp a better understanding of the text. Please get into 3 teams of 6 group members so
that we can begin. While students form their group, I will turn on the PowerPoint slide show. Now
please take a look at the PowerPoint slide show and see if you can describe any three pictures. You
have 4.5 minutes to discuss this with your group.
After 4.5 minutes:
Teacher – Your time is up now. Please explain what you have discussed with your group.

Team 1 Summer Solstice - Students might describe the picture as people are happy and dancing.
Protest - Students might describe the picture as people are holding banners and
standing on the streets.
