Unit 21: Aspects of Contract and
Business Law
M2: analyse how consumers are protected in the event of
breach of contract for the supply/sale of goods or services
M3: analyse the remedies available to a business provider in
the event of breach of contract for the supply of goods or
services.

, Introduction
This assignment focuses on the how the consumers of Vodafone are
protected by the Sales of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and
Service Act 1982 in the event of a breach of their contract with the
company. Furthermore, the remedies available for the business provider
(Vodafone) will be analyzed as well.

, Consumer Protection (Sales of Goods Act 1979)
● This law was created to ensure that consumers are protected
against businesses such as Vodafone who may treat them unfairly
● The law does this by setting guidelines for the businesses which
may include conditions such as ensuring that the products that the
business sells that match the description that is presented to the
public.
● Another condition is that the quality of the product must be
satisfactory this means it should fit the purpose and be safe,
durable and long lasting.
● This law however, only covers the goods that are sold by Vodafone.
