Patient-centered care delivery in mental health care: a qualitative
study
Abstract
Background: Patient-centered care delivery (PCCD) has been gaining attention as it
is increasingly regarded as an essential component of high-quality care. Research
has shown that it can result in improved clinical outcomes and overall quality of life.
However, evidence remains inconclusive and many organizations are still unfamiliar
or struggle with PCCD. This study explored the importance of the eight dimensions
of PCCD to mental health care professionals and patients in the Netherlands.
Methods: Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews via
