Dimenaional Analysis is very impotant topic in fluid mechanics because it is used in mechanical engineering experiments containing many variables as it reduces the work using different methods. The method includes the Buckingham Pi Method, the Rayleigh method and the inspection method for obtaining dimensionless groups.

Fluid Mechanics' Pipe Networks are a very important chapter in the 4th year cyllabus as they cover a important topic in fluids. The chapter covers the Hardy Cross Method which is used in the distribution of fluid in pipelines.
