Describes the normal physiology of cerebrospinal fluid and intracranial pressure. Details different types of head injury and how they can cause raised intracranial pressure. Also looks at functional neurological disorders.

Covers normal synaptic transmission at the synaptic junction and normal memory formation in the brain. Then goes on to look at memory loss and dementia. Finally looks at basal ganglia disorders such as Parkinson's Disease and Huntington's Disease as well as covering the blood brain barrier.

Covers the basic spinal cord reflexes including the stretch reflex, inverse stretch reflex and flexor/withdrawal reflex. Then goes on to look at the perception of pain and pathways involved, how pain relief medication works. Finally looks at myelopathy and generalised peripheral neuropathy, as well as touching on brain lesions.

Covers the vestibular system, vestibular system reflexes and vestibular system disorders. Also covers the embryology of the nervous system and developmental defects, with focus on Spina Bifida.

Focusses on cerebrovascular disease, brain and spinal stroke, different types of bleeding that can occur within the skull, and common brain tumours.
