X and Y executed their antenuptial contract while on holiday in the Kruger National
Park in the presence of their friend, who is a notary public.


Where will the antenuptial contract be registered?


In terms of section 87(1) of the Deeds Registries Act 47 of 1937, an antenuptial
contract must be registered in a Deeds Registry Office within three months after its
execution if it was signed within the Republic of South Africa.


Since X and Y executed their antenuptial contract while on holiday in the Kruger
National Park (which is in South Africa) in the presence of a notary public, the contract
must be registered in a Deeds Registry Office that has jurisdiction over the place where
either X or Y is domiciled at the time of registration.
