1. PRESENT TENSES
1.1 THE SIMPLE PRESENT
1.1.1 FORM
The simple present is the base form of a verb. In the third person we add -s or -es.

You Play You Go
He/she Plays He/she Goes
We Play We Go
You Play You Go
They play They Go
Negative forms
We use do not or don’t and the base form of a verb.
In third person singular we use does not or doesn’t and the base form
I/you/we/they do not play I/you/we/they don’t play
Or in short
He/she/it does not play He/she/it doesn’t play
Ex. I just do not know the answer
Ex. The neighbours don’t take any notice
Ex. The journey doesn’t take long
Interrogative forms
In question we use do and the base form of a verb.
