Lesson Plan for Grade 5 Creative Arts Class


Objectives:
1. To educate learners on the history and cultural significance of African textiles.
2. To analyze and discuss the visual qualities of different textiles using the elements of art and principles of
design.
3. To prepare learners to present their findings in a showcase for Heritage Day.


Materials Needed:
- Images of African textiles from various tribes.
