Indentured servants were contracted between five to seven years and assisted in growing tobacco in the Chesapeake colonies (Openstax, 2019). In addition to that, the African people helped a lot to stronger the financially of the new nations, after that which leads to increase importance of slaves and in 18th century there were increased in their population in British colonies. Slaves from African labor played important role for the financial growth for British North America. Enslavement developed faster in the territory. The living life of slaves were controlled by their owners and they didn’t had any of freedom and there life was so pitiful as compared to indentured servants. “ indentured servants were granted freedom after serving a specified period of time to earn compensation in exchange of labor. They were in contrast of the slaves, service persons (Openstax, 2019). At beginning when majority of people came to America that began to colonized as articled servants and during the same time frame the enslavement came into coexistence. The northern colonies utilized their laborer for economic purposes rather than farming and were in efforts to dissolve servitude. The condition of slaves were more pitiful as compared to indentured servants because they work only for a contract basis and when their contract was completed or finished they will be free.
