1. Procedural

 Before case is heard

 Decides on whether or not it will be heard

2. Substantive

 Whether or not a right has been infringed

3. Remedies

 Order a remedy for any infringement

 Does the victim have the protection of the Bill of Rights?

 Can the claimant approach the court?

 Is the perpetrator bound by the Bill of Rights?

 Does the bill of Rights apply directly or indirectly?

1. everyone has inherent dignity and the right to have their dignity respected and
protected

1. everyone has the right to life

o Some rights are limited to citizens

b) anyone acting on behalf of another person who cannot act in their own name

e) an associate acting in the interest of its members
