REPRODUCTION
• Reproduction is the ability of an organism to produce a new generation of
themselves
• Genes are transferred to next generation during reproduction
• It ensures the survival and evolution of a species
TYPES OF REPRODUCTION
1. ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION:
production of a new generation by
one parent, producing offspring
with identical genetic composition

2. SEXUAL REPRODUCTION:
production of a new generation by
two parents of the same species,
producing offspring which different
genetic composition
