Three follow-up activities for exploiting the authentic text with advanced students

First Activity
a) A dictionary activity, for vocabulary and dictionary skills development AFTER the class have
read or listened to your selected text.
This could be used later in the same lesson or in another lesson. You can use the vocabulary items
you have selected for pre-teaching or make a different selection. The vocabulary must be from the
text or clearly relevant to the text.

Aims Understanding meaning, form and learning pronunciation
- Handout a dictionary for each of the students.
- Give the instructions for the activity.
- Set a 15 minutes time limit for individual work.
- Monitor and help students if necessary.

- Entire class repeats the words for consolidation and pronunciation
improvement.
