Write a report that identifies and explains different types of business
information, their sources and purposes.
The 3 departments I have chosen to do within Newvic are the canteen, sports
department and the LRC as they are easier for me to do compared to the other
departments within Newvic.
LRC:
LRC (Learning Resources Centre) is a calm and peaceful place for anyone to learn
and the LRC is also there to assist college students to develop their interpersonal
and social skills. The LRC is quiet as it allows the people that are there to learn
quietly and peacefully. The LRC provide laptops to students when they want to use
them, you could also book a computer to use within the LRC and you can borrow
books to help you study about the subjects you are doing within the LRC.
Sports department:
The sports activities department is a place for college kids and staff can go to
exercising or play a recreation they like. The sports branch goals to engage all
college students in recreation and physical hobby whether or not it is for fun, for
preserving fit, trying a new sport or competing at group degree. The purpose of the
sports branch is to help college students improve on their leadership abilities and it
helps students increase their expertise which enables them see what they're properly
at.
Canteen:
The canteen is a place that provides a service to the school community. It is a place
where staff and students can purchase good and healthy food and eat. The purpose
of a canteen is for students to socialize while in college and to have good time while
they are in the college.
Three types of methods used to communicate:
LRC use on-screen to communicate with students. This is because when students
want to use the computers, they have to book on a small TV which is located in the
link that allows them to choose where they want to sit whether it’s the first, second or
third floor. Students cannot just go to a computer in the LRC as it will not allow them
to log in.
